i woke around 8, got the dudes up, and rick walked us back to our van. we stopped for some coffee, and rolled towards columbus, cincinnati and louisville. stopped for lunch at waffle house; i soon felt like crap, and regretted the stop. suddenly i lost the energy to tour.
arrived at ear x-tacy (record shop) just in time for our in-store, and saw jason noble, todd cook, david buschermohle, and jay durbin. we played a short set while they played qhnnnl over the store's stereo. we loaded back out to the van, talked to rachel grimes on the phone, and walked across the street for pulled pork sandwiches, which made me feel just a little better.
loaded into the pourhaus, as rachel and alec arrived with her piano. we ran through two songs with rachel, and took way too much time soundchecking. the club had the worst natural acoustics ever. the opening bands were heroically patient, and both played very well. i slept in the van for part of the evening. i found a ten dollar bill on the floor of the bar. i ddodled on jay durbin's fugazi "dogs" poster.
we played a set that made me dizzy. i am not convinced that it sounded good, but we got to see a lot of old friends. loaded out, blah blah.
we drove to jason noble's house, and were amazing by the size and contents of his complex. i slept again on the office floor.
